Retail
You can take it with you! We have many fun costumes for sale year-round, including sci-fi and super heroes. Or, once you’ve picked out your look, finish your transformation with our wide array of theatrical makeup, wigs, sfx contact lenses, masks and glasses. Then, what better way to finish off a perfect costume than with sparkling jewelry, stunning shoes, or a replica weapon. We carry all the best accessories that are garment quality at costume prices.
Something that is unique in this region is our selection of corsets. We carry plain ones to help shape costumes properly, fun and fancy costume ones, and heavy steel-boned ones for the corset enthusiast. We carry them in a very wide range of sizes and love to handle personal orders.
Custom Commissions
Do you know what you want, but can’t find it anywhere? Our staff has decades of experience making everything from coture wedding gowns to commercial product mascots. We love new challenges, and can take orders for anything from a single accessory to large group costumes. We also have plenty of nerds working here, so we’re cosplay and alternative friendly!
Plays and Productions
We have been providing our services to theaters, video productions, churches, and schools for decades. We have complete shows available for rental, and have the resources to pull or create anything a director could desire.
Working with our experienced team of costumers takes the work off the producer and provides both reliability and affordability. Come down to the shop and get the tour of our workspace and two floors of stock. You’ll have fun meeting with our high-energy, creative staff, and see how Ralston Costume can make your vision come to life. If you can’t make it in, we can work over the phone and through email, deliver to the Omaha metro area, or ship to your location.
About Us
Mission: To make people happy by providing affordable and creative costumes to organizations, schools, and individuals in a professional yet fun atmosphere.
History: We've been around for over 25 years! Originally a small tailoring shop, Ralston costume evolved into the large facility it is today under Mary Boehler, especially with her passion for dance costumes. On her retirement, the store was bought by one of the seamstresses, Julie Gullickson, and her husband Ron. Under her direction, the store maintained a strong level of community connection, working for many of the local high schools, churches, and theaters. After her passing in 2009, the shop is under new management. We are now striving to maintain and improve the quality of our products while increasing our selections geared towards alternative and fashionable clientele.
